about
What is sad space?
Sad Space is the area where we allow ourselves to be free. Free to be open and vulnerable in a world that has taught us to suppress the things that aren’t positive and happy. A place where we release the shame of our “negative” emotions like sadness, anxiousness, anger, etc. It is a community where we can share our thoughts and feelings without judgement. We are here to hold space for you.
What do we believe?
We believe in breaking down the barriers of the things we keep hidden. We believe in normalizing our feelings and removing the stigma that surrounds having sad or negative thoughts. We believe that sometimes we must be comfortable in the uncomfortable, feel through our emotions, and externalize them. It’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to make mistakes. It’s okay to be angry. It’s okay to have regret. It’s okay to grieve loudly. It’s okay to feel whatever it is you feel.
what’s the goal?
The goal is to provide a platform and community where people can freely express their emotions. We want to encourage people to have open conversations about emotions that are often overlooked or dismissed. We want to foster a sense of connection, empathy, and support. Most of all, we want you to accept all that you are; the good parts, the shadow self, and everything in between.
